  • well, as Jamie and Charlie both know, I am not usually at a loss for words but the service and outcome and pleasure of dealing with them leaves me at a loss - a picture may be worth a thousand words but a picture of Shirley my new Weil-McLain boiler would not tell the story - CNS was the lowest quote I got - some were more than twice as high all trying to sell me a way too oversized boiler comparable to the one I had or slightly smaller but still too big - I am sitting here toasty and warm - responded immediately on very short notice - like 15 minutes - impressed me with their knowledge and sensitivity = my neighbor tried to dissuade me from using them saying they were underestimating my boiler size or didn't know how to calculate it - boy, am I happy to say that he was totally wrong but Charlie inspired confidence and trust in me - we had a few glitches along the way but none was their fault and they resolved promptly once the supply house that had provided the defective circuit board was open the next day - they installed a temporary thermostat since there was a problem with the old thermostat connection - they were attentive and responsive to my particular concerns and besides Charlie has great green eyes and a great head of hair as my mother would say - patient etc., etc. = enough said

  • If your home has any problems with the heating and cooling system, call CNS. Over the last two years, the heating and cooling system in my parent's home required some minor maintenance. Just recently, one of the central A/C units had to be replaced. But whether the job was big or small, CNS was always there for us. When you call for service, Jamie or Linda will take care of you. Each time I call, they are both very accommodating, professional, and courteous. They are always upfront about fees and scheduling appointments. I appreciate that they are very responsive to customer needs and they always keep me posted. The service techs are always prompt and professional. They always inform us on what the problem is, how it can be fixed, and what solutions are available to us. Whenever there is a home repair needed, half the battle is finding the right people to do the job, do it right, and at a fair price. But I have total peace of mind knowing who to call and trust any time our boiler or A/C system needs service. Special thanks to Jamie, Linda in the office and the service techs (Charlie, Steve) that have come to our home.

  • CNS replaced 2 old furnaces and 2 AC units. Charlie was knowledgeable and explained everything. He provided options and suggestions. The staff is polite and responsible. Work was done neatly, on time and on budget. I priced 3 vendors and selected CNS based on price and knowledge.

  • Great experience working with CNS. We had our boiler replaced and Spacepak HVAC installed throughout the house. Charlie came to the house a couple of times to answer my questions and go through the whole process. The team got the job completed on time and were able to work independently while I was traveling. The installation actually went better than expected as they managed to avoid boxing any of the duct work which we originally throught would be needed. Jamie was great to work, responsive and patient in answering my various questions. CNS were also very competitive relative to other quotes I received. Overall, very positive experience and highly recommended.

  • CNS Heating & Cooling are the BEST – I can’t sing the praises enough! My AC died two weeks into summer, and I received an extensive/expensive quote from my usual maintenance company. A friend in Westchester County recommended that I call CNS, who has been his company for years and I’m so glad he did. Jamie (in the office) is professional, knowledgeable, and compassionate – although it was peak season and they were obviously busy, she scheduled an appointment quickly. Charlie was thorough and experienced - he clearly knows what he is talking about. He reviewed the system, gave estimates for the remaining life of different components, and then provided an extremely reasonable quote for the work that was needed right away. Extent/expense were less than my original quote, needless to say – no trying to gouge me for work that didn’t need to be done. The job was completed quickly and efficiently, without inconvenience or mess. Having relocated around the country ten times in the past thirty years, I value home contractors whom I can trust to give me professional advice and a fair price. I am so grateful to CNS Heating & Cooling, because they provide both. They are an honest, reliable, trustworthy family business with heart!

  • I called when my heat would not turn on for this fall season and was accomodated with a quick afternoon appointment. Charlie inspected the unit and explained that it was 20 years old and could be fixed but he would recommend a new gas furnace which is high efficiency so cost savings would offset new unit costs. I went for the new 96%% efficient unit and it works great. We agreed on an installation date and it was installed within that day. Area was left clean and all waste was removed. Pleasure to deal with this family business and they are my HVAC vendor for sure

  • I am converting from oil to gas and had two companies to give us their estimates. The price of CNS' offer was lower, and the equipment efficiency was higher than in the proposal of the other company. But this is not about the price only. The quality of care and attention you get with CNS is the highest I ever met. The customer is treated as a part of the family, really! The installation was done in a very timely manner and efficiently. People who work for Charlie and Jamie are high great specialists too. I am very happy with them and would highly recommend them to anyone!

  • When our 66 year old gas boiler gave up just before Halloween we scurried around trying to get prices and find the right people to get us a new one. Luckily a neighbor recommended Charlie Robinson/CNS, who gave us our third bid, which was comparable to one of the others. But Charlie was very specific and persuasive about why the Navien was the right choice for us, and we quickly settled on him. He came to the house when he said he would and did a great job, both removing the old boiler and water heater, and installing the new Navien, and in making sure everything was tested and worked properly. They also did a very good job cleaning up, and were nice people to have around. We would recommend them to anyone without qualification.

  • We had a great experience with CNS. We recently moved into an older home without central air conditioning. I did a lot of research as our house has radiators and I suspected this would not be an easy job. I got several estimates ranging in price and design, some of them I'd have to sell a kidney to finance they were so ridiculous. From the minute Charlie walked in it was clear he was the most knowledgeable. CNS installed a SpacePak mini duct system that looks great but most importantly works great and at a very reasonable price. All work done very professionally and they came back a couple of times, after payment in full, to tweak the system until it was perfect. Also very happy with the CNS's payment schedule, a payment due at various stages of the installation which I thought was very fair & forthright. Good company, good people.   • Last week in 97 degree heat, our Air Conditioning broke down! We have a newborn baby so it was clearly an emergency. I called CNS, they arrived within a couple of hours and repaired our condenser. We have an older system that needs to be upgraded, but CNS repaired it and got us AC until we are able to get that done. They came quickly, the office staff was beyond helpful & friendly during my hysteria and they repaired our AC at a fair price. Very Grateful to CNS!

  • Working with CNS over the past 15 years has allowed me to rest assured that we will always have heat or air conditioning when needed. Even the time I called on New Years Eve someone showed up and we slept nice and warm. They have installed both A/C and heat as well as water heaters. We had forced hot air and they converted it to air handlers with humidifiers. Nice. I think the boss's name is Charlie he's the one that came here.

  • I called in a few companies for estimates on replacing my heating system. I chose CNS because Charlie was by far the most knowledgeable guy I had in here. The installation went well, on time, neatly done and at a good price. I now have a Navien boiler that hangs on my basement wall, takes up very little space and provides hot water on demand. All that and they got me a rebate from Con Ed. I am very happy with my new heating system and most impressed with CNS. Thanks guys, great job!

  • CNS replaced our old inefficient air conditioning system with a new high efficiency system. They gave me a professional proposal, emailed me links to all the equipment info/brochure and they were very helpful and patient in walking me through my options. I was also able to get a 600$ Con Edison rebate and they did the rebate application for me too. From start to finish they were very helpful and professional and the AC system works great! Highly recommended company, will use them again!

  • I leave reviews in those rare cases when I am extremely satisfied with the services provided. Yes, I'm a picky and demanding customer, for I expect the best for my money, ergo, CNS comes highly recommended. They are professional, informative, quick in reply, honest, giving me an estimate for the work that needed to be done without additional costs, as many add later on. My Grandparents required the new cooling system installed in their home. Summer in full blast and we decided on a Ductless Air Conditioning with Heat. From the first contact, CNS showed me their commitment to my satisfaction as a customer. Charlie and the crew know their job, they were on time, units were installed neatly and are working now for several weeks (almost 24/7) perfectly, plus Charlie was kind enough to show my Grandparents how to use it properly too. Full service! I will use them again and defo recommend to family and friends.
